Intertween.*

What is Intertween?

A way to find earlier work, trace it to its source and decide what can be used in a new setting.

Why start over when someone has done the work?

You need to draft school transport guidelines. Another municipality has already done the research, but you cannot find it or see which local circumstances shaped its assessment. You cannot just copy the decision. You should be able to find the work, read its sources and see whether any of it helps in your own case.

Intertween describes a document as a Knowledge Object with a persistent identity and a route back to its source. A local node can keep track of versions, relationships and custody. Finding that object elsewhere is separate from permission to use it. The proposed federation is not yet operating.

Different remits can raise a shared question

FICTIONAL TEACHING EXAMPLE

Two organisations use different terms and have different remits. Their experience may still raise a shared question.

How do we explain individual assessments?

All sources and references are fictional. The steps are prepared; no search or AI runs and no data is transferred between organisations.

Three concepts for following knowledge

A Knowledge Object describes a particular source. Relationships describe how sources and contexts connect. An intertween gives a question or insight between sources its own identity so it can be examined and developed.

Insights can develop into reusable methods. How they should be evaluated and used is part of the continuing work. Skills and learning ↗

You still decide over your own material

Each organisation remains responsible for its sources and access decisions. The shared register is meant to help others find the right door, not open it for them. Intertween is an open, non-profit initiative founded by Daniel Kvist. It needs to develop with the people who handle the information in practice.

Which question do you recognise?

The learning paths put possible problems in different fields into words. Their cases are fictional and our assumptions may be wrong. A real example would show what needs changing before a demo or pilot can say anything about the value.
